Dr. Seuss

Hi Everyone,
I've been so busy working on my farm unit that I didn't get a chance to make a post this weekend.
I will be making my weekly post tomorrow.  I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know that my friend Kathleen from Growing Kinders has a great Dr. Seuss unit that you might want to check out since his birthday is this week!
Here's the link:

  1. Hi Deanna!

I am eagerly awaiting your farm unit....can you tell me when it will be posted for sale? Thanks so much!

  2. I am very excited about your farm unit as well. When will it be ready? Thanks!

  3. I'm anxious to see the farm unit as well!

  4. Deanna- Do you have any science lessons that relate to Dr. Seuss? I have your science units that are posted on TpT, but it doesn't seem that any relate to Dr. Seuss. I'm getting observed this week for science and I'm trying to relate it to our theme!

  5. The Farm Unit has been posted. :) Thanks Ladies!

  6. Cassie,
could you do the Color Mixing experiment and relate it to the book, one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish? I'm thinking give each group of kids a few clear plastic cups of water and have them put drops of food coloring into the water to see what colors they can make. Start with red + blue I have the recording sheet for the play-doh color mixing activity in my Volume 1 activity but you could use it for this too.
Or you could choose one of the egg experiments from the units and relate it to Green Eggs and Ham.

  7. Just thought of another one... You could read, Oh the Places You'll go and experiment with building ramps using little cars.

  8. We are doing Hop on Pop and using the Mentos in pop experiment. Also the Oobleck with Barthalemew and the Oobleck. It mixes color and does the solid and liquid thing! There are LOTS of free posts with some experiments in them too!
