Mental Images free download

This is such a fun poem!  I love, love it!  It is great for mental images and inferring
(for a beginning lesson).   This poem is from the book,

Oh, No! Where Are My Pants? and Other Disasters: Poems

Lee Bennett Hopkins (Author), Wolf Erlbruch (Illustrator)

I created a response sheet for this poem and My Neighbor's Dog is Purple.  (see yesterday's post).

Okay y'all!  Sorry for such a quick post but I am EXHAUSTED and report cards are due this week!!1
Yuck!!!  Raise your hands if you hate report cards as much as I do!!!

  1. I don't even want to think about report cards, that's what we're doing this week! AND there's a walk-through tomorrow!!! Thanks!

  2. I've got both of them up! Thanks for sharing

  4. Thank you for these cute response sheets. My kids enjoyed reading and listening to "My Neighbor's Dog is Purple."

  5. Can I hear an "Oh Yea!!!!!" I am typing away....10 more to go and our deadline is midnight!!!

  6. You ain't kid din sister! Report cards are by far the WORST! Now that I think about it...I would love to see examples of other kindergarten report cards. Ours is 4.5 {yea, FOUR and a HALF} pages long. Can you believe it? I spend so much of my time on these things.
Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.

  7. I have used the poem "My Neighbor's Dog...." We had so much fun, and the students were so surprised by the ending. Thanks for sharing that with us. I can't wait to use the others.

  8. I don't mind the report's all the testing and how to fit it in without just letting the kiddos watch movies. I can never find time for testing without feeling like I am neglecting my students. I have to admit I am having trouble getting my students to leave me alone long enough to test. I know that I have a particularly needy class, but there must be a way.

Can't wait to use the poems!

  9. These poems are great! Thanks for the ideas :)

  10. HUGE fan of your stuff. I saw some chunk posters on first grade parade and I love them. But I do not see them anywhere. Are they at your teacher store or somewhere else? Thanks! Christi
