Time Savers

Good Morning,
It seems like there are never enough hours in the day and it so hard to get everything done that needs to get done!  I'm linking up with Blog Hoppin' to share some Time Savers that work for me.

First of all,  I am not a morning person.  At all!  I have always thought the day shouldn't start until 9 a.m.  so I have to get as much done the night before as possible.

I choose my outfit the night before and have everything at the foot of my bed.  Clothes, shoes, jewelry, purse and teaching bag all right there ready to go.  (P.S. the necklace really does match the dress.  ;)  Not sure why the pic altered the color in the dress a little)

I pack my lunch and get it all ready so that all I have to do is grab it out of the fridge.

SCHOOL-  When you teach Littles you have to be as organized as possible so that you don't waste valuable time gathering your needed materials.  I keep everything I need close at hand.

The above pictures are from my Organization Station unit.

Leave a comment and share a time saving tip!  I'd love to hear from you.
Link up with us if you have time!

  1. How do you keep everything so neat and tidy? My area's look like this at the BEGINNING of the year but as time goes on...well let's just say everything is just strewn together!

    1. I try to make sure that I put things back immediately. Storing the items right where I use them makes it a little easier. But I'm not gonna lie...I'm human and my room gets messy sometimes too. :)

  2. Love this post!!! I need to be better at keeping everything organized and you are my inspiration! Thank you!!! BTW - love the dress, where did you get it?

    1. The dress is from Ross! $12. Love me a deal! ;)

  3. I love the bins you keep the daily supplies in (the ones with the days of the week). Where did you find it?

  4. LOL! I'm the same way. If I could pour the milk on my cereal the night before, I'd do that, too!

  5. Hi Deanna - Love these! I'm the opposite - the kind that wakes up singing...rise and shine and give God your glory, glory! HA! Love you though! I crash out and want my jammies on earlier than most so it all works out I guess. THanks for sharing!

1.! I would love to wake up anything but grumpy! :)

  6. So fun to read! I am REALLY bad on packing my lunch the night before! Sandwiches and lunch stuff just never sounds yummy after dinner. I wrote my own little blog post a little ways back on my morning get ready routine. I would love for you to check it out. I am trying to start a little YouTube channel for teachers. It would mean the world to get a shout out from you.

  8. Thanks for all the tips! It is so hard to keep organized for me--just lay a paper here or there and then search for it later!

What grade are you teaching now????

  9. Hi Deanna! Just wanted to tell you how much your "Organization Station" has saved me time and helped my room look more organized! Even as a music teacher, I have found that set so helpful. (And I really need to follow your advice about being more organized in the morning...I always feel like such a mess!) Thanks!

  10. Hi! I found your blog through Blog Hoppin’ We are THANKful for Linky Party!

I LOVE your Chit Chat TpT products. I have just started using them this year as a beginning of the day activity with the first graders. They love it! We do it together right on the Promethean board each morning.

Check out my post for today’s Time-Savers! It is in the same post as a couple of my new TpT products. Be one of the first five to comment and chose one for a freebie!

  12. I make my lunch the night before too! So easy to just grab it and go. I need to start laying my outfits out the night before… maybe then I can sleep in 10 extra minutes! Thanks for sharing your tips!
