Hey, y'all! I'm Kimberly from Kimberly Geswein Fonts. I've been making fonts since 2006 and have dabbled in various worlds of graphic design since my college days (that's a long time ago!) My husband teaches 5th grade in Orlando, Florida and I previously taught high school. I was having lunch with Deanna (yes, total name dropping, but I am real life friends with the Queen of TpT) and we were chatting about font usage and I forced her to let me take over here at Mrs. Jump's Class and ... continue reading...

Insect Learning Fun, Freebies and a Sale!
We read lots of Eric Carle books and created our own papers to use in his style. No patterns, please! The kids use rectangles and squared to create their own unique insects. I LOVE the results. Much better than if I had given them patterns to trace. Building insects with pattern blocks. The unit includes a sheet for them to tally, graph and add the pattern blocks they used to build their insect. We always start out by charting what we think ... continue reading...

Pirates, Free Literacy Center Downloads and Pete the Cat
This is how I manage my literacy centers. The pirates ship was made using styrofoam sheets and paint. You can buy the sheets at most craft stores. You draw your shape onto the sheet and then cut it out with a hot wand. Super easy! The little pirates are birthday party invitations that I bought at Target. Each child is placed in a group...pirates, anchors, pirates ships, jolly rogers or maps. So you can see that today the pirate ships will complete the activities at the abc center and then ... continue reading...

Where’s My Mummy? Fall Book Party
I'm linking up with Ashley from The Teacher's Treasure Chest to share one of my favorite Fall books. Where's My Mummy? by Carolyn Crimi is always a class favorite. Little Mummy doesn't want to go to bed so he begs his Mummy to play one more game of hide and shriek. The events that happen next will have your Littles shrieking with delight.
